Blanca & John’s Ashton Gardens wedding was so elegant, classic, and they got married ON their seventh anniversary! It was also some of the best weather we’ve had all month! I love how they incorporated both of their heritages into the wedding day! John wore his kilt, along with his groomsmen, incorporating his Scottish heritage. Blanca incorporated Mexico’s colors into the wedding and wore beautiful red shoes that were so her, along with pretty red flowers in her hair. I also loved the traditions they added to the ceremony & their first dances, it made it that more special. They are so in love and on their big day you could really see it because of their interactions with one another, like, seriously, just their interactions were everything! The entire wedding day was so relaxed, but so much fun. Everyone was so excited and had a great time!

Blanca and John met in high school and at first she didn’t like him. Blanca was dating someone else during high school and later on whenever they broke up Blanca and John reconnected in college. That’s when John started pursuing Blanca. One night when she was working, John went to her work and talked to her all evening then took her to dinner after her shift was over. Olive Garden was their first date because it is Blanca’s favorite restaurant! They got engaged in Waco, but the ring came in two day before John was planning to propose! His mom picked the ring up two minutes after the jewelry store had closed! They went to Cameron Park in Waco to do their save the date pictures early, so they could send them to Blanca’s family in Mexico. Their friend took pictures and he proposed for a picture where she had the perfect reaction!

We had an engagement session with them a couple months ago which was so fun and you can see them here!

Blanca and John, thank you so much for having me document this special time in your lives. You both are so lovely and I am so blessed to have been able to work with you and your families.
