Amanda & Jarrod’s wedding at Willowood Ranch was so beautiful! Amanda & Jarrod met during their senior year at OSU. For the proposal, Jarrod took Amanda down to Fort Worth for a weekend getaway. At that time they both lived in Oklahoma City. Amanda thoughts they were visiting because Jarrod would be living in for medical school. The day of the proposal Jarrod took Amanda to brunch, but that weekend there was a bike marathon and brunch ran late. Jarrod began to worry because he had us scheduled with a photographer in the Botanical Gardens and they were running late. Amanda insisted they park in the front and therefore, we had to walk what felt like mile to the Japanese Gardens. Even though Jarrod knew there was parking right by the Japanese Gardens. He did not want to blow his cover. Jarrod stopped Amanda in the middle of the water. Koi fish were jumping on the rocks. Jarrod got all serious and gave his speech. He then got down on one knee, said Amanda’s full name and asked her to marry him. She was so shocked; all she could say was, “yeah.” Amanda & Jarrod are such a sweet couple. They both love to hike and want to continue to travel together.
The entire wedding day was so relaxed. Everyone was so excited and had a great time! During the first look with Jarrod he said, “It’s everything I imaged.” Their dog Bear was “best dog” and Jarrod gave his mother & mother-in-law both a rose when he walked to the alter. What a great way to include them into the day!
Another wedding day details – Jarrod had a fun dance for the garter. He took his jacket off and swung it around for Amanda. Be sure to look for those images, it’s worth it. We had an engagement session with them last summer in Portland, Oregon – we had so much fun! Check it out (here).
Amanda & Jarrod, thank you so much for having me document this special time in your lives. You both are so lovely and I am so blessed to have been able to work with you and your families. I am so excited to be sharing your wedding day blog with you and everyone else. You two are such a beautiful couple. Congratulations and cheers to many years together that are full of love and happiness!
