Aspen Family Mini Session | Naughton Family
I had the sweetest time photographing the Naughton Family’s Aspen family mini session during their recent visit to Colorado. I’ve done several mini sessions for them in Dallas, but this was the first time I photographed them in Aspen — and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
A Special Connection
Arden is a dear friend and someone I’ve had the joy of working with many times over the years. We’ve connected through various weddings and events, and it’s always such a treat to see her again. This time, I had the chance to capture her with her husband Jackson and their two little ones — truly the sweetest family of four.
East of Aspen Trail
We chose the East of Aspen Trail for their mini session, and it was the perfect backdrop. The trail is quiet, peaceful, and full of natural beauty — wide open spaces, tall trees, and views of the mountains in the distance. The golden Aspen light made everything glow, giving their portraits a warm and natural feel.
The kids loved exploring and playing, which made for fun and candid family moments. Arden and Jackson were relaxed and joyful, making the whole session feel easy and natural.
A Family Session to Remember
What made this session so special was not only the location, but the chance to capture this family in a new chapter of life. After many Dallas mini sessions together, being able to photograph the Naughton Family surrounded by the beauty of Aspen felt extra meaningful.
Arden and Jackson’s love for their children shines so brightly, and every hug, laugh, and smile was a reminder of how sweet family life can be.
I feel so grateful to have the chance to photograph friends like Arden and her family over the years. And now, with Aspen as the backdrop, these portraits will forever hold a special place in my heart — and hopefully theirs too!
