He envisioned a surprise right as the New Year’s Eve fireworks lit up the sky above the mountain peaks. The goal was to capture the vibrant energy of the town—the historic buildings, the holiday lights, and the celebrating crowds.

A Spectacular 8:00 PM Setting

For this holiday surprise, we navigated a unique local tradition: the 8:00 PM fireworks display. I recommended the cross-section of Galena & Hyman for the Proposal in Downtown Aspen. We arranged for their three sons and the oldest boys’ girlfriends to be nearby, positioned so they could witness the moment as the sky lit up. Before the big surprise, we spent time capturing family portraits at the Hotel Jerome and Mollie Gibson Park. Balancing high-end style with the raw beauty of the peaks allowed the family to memorialize their trip fully.
