There’s something incredibly special about photographing life’s precious moments, but it becomes even more meaningful when it’s your own sister’s engagement! As both a photographer and proud sister, capturing Audrey and Zach’s love story at Highland Park was an experience I’ll forever cherish.

Sometimes the most beautiful love stories begin in the most unexpected places – like a tennis court! That’s exactly where Audrey and Zach’s journey began, when mutual friends brought them together for a friendly match. Little did they know that casual game would lead to a lifetime of love.

What started as friendly tennis matches within their social circle blossomed into something more special when Zach asked Audrey out. Two years later, their love has only grown stronger, even while navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship between Dallas and Austin.

A Whirlwind European Proposal

Their engagement story is one for the books! In a whirlwind five-day adventure across Europe, Zach planned the perfect proposal in romantic Venice, Italy. But their adventure nearly hit a snag when Zach realized he’d forgotten his passport in Austin just hours before their international flight from Dallas! In a dramatic race against time, he coordinated with a friend to meet halfway between Austin and Dallas to retrieve his passport, making it to their flight just in the nick of time. Despite the passport drama, Zach managed to create the perfect proposal moment in Venice, surrounded by the city’s timeless beauty.

Highland Park Engagement Session

Being behind the camera for my sister’s engagement photos was a dream come true. For their engagement session, we chose the picturesque Highland Park as our backdrop. The location provided a perfect mix of elegant architecture and natural beauty that complemented Audrey and Zach’s natural chemistry. Despite their long-distance relationship between Dallas and Austin, their connection shines through in every photo we captured.

The distance between Dallas and Austin will soon be just another chapter in their love story, as Zach plans to move to Dallas. Their engagement marks not just their commitment to each other, but also the end of their long-distance journey and the beginning of their life together in the same city.
