Ben & Annalee’s Engagement Session at East of Aspen Trail
Just a couple days after Ben’s beautiful surprise proposal at Snowmass House, I had the joy of photographing Ben and Annalee again — this time for their full engagement session at East of Aspen Trail.

A Scenic Session in East Aspen
We chose their engagement session at East of Aspen Trail and it’s one of my favorite local spots. The area features aspen groves, soft golden light, and a quiet river loop. This trail is close to where I live, and I knew it would fit their vibe perfectly — private, romantic, and full of natural beauty.
We started the session walking through the tall aspen trees. The light filtered through the leaves in the most magical way. Ben and Annalee were relaxed, smiling, and still glowing from the excitement of the proposal. You could feel how much fun they were having just being together.
River Loops and Golden Light
After the trees, we followed the trail around the river loop. The sound of the water added a peaceful tone to the session. It was one of those perfect Aspen summer evenings — warm, soft light and no one else around.
Throughout the shoot, Ben and Annalee laughed, kissed, and fully embraced the moment. Their connection is effortless. Every glance, every touch — it all felt genuine and full of love.
This is why I love photographing couples in Aspen. There’s room to breathe, move slowly, and capture the in-between moments that matter most.
