Chase & Kayla’s Proposal at Klyde Warren Park was SO perfect! The timing could not have been better – the sun had just gone behind the buildings, but I still had that beautiful “glow” in the images. Kayla’s reaction was just great – even though she knew what was happening just before it was happening, she was still super surprised and from the look on her face, she couldn’t have been happier. 🙂 The weather was also wonderful: 75 degrees, sunny, just the right amount of wind to make Kayla’s hair and dress look “flawy.” Kayla’s parents were so excited for them, and her Mom wanted to be the first to hug her after she said “yes,” so her parents came to Dallas and surprised Kayla at the restaurant in the park, Savor, and the staff brought them a sweet, little note, congratulating them and a yummy appetizer as well. Her Mom & Dad were so sweet, I wish we could have stayed longer to chat and enjoy their company, but we had to finish their session so they could enjoy the champagne from her parents, then head off dinner together at a place Chase had reservations for that evening. Also, I have to make note of Kayla’s gorgeous new (and old) bling! The ring was passed down from Kayla’s Grandmother, for Chase to give to Kayla, but Chase did an amazing job at personalizing it, just for his bride to be. He had the band made from white gold (I believe), to Platinum, so that the diamonds he added to the sides of the band would stay in place better. He also added diamonds on the sides, leading up to the prongs, and in a picture below, it forms an “A” representing his last name. Props to you, Chase for doing such a great job on the ring – it’s definitely one of the most beautifully personalized rings I’ve ever seen or photographed.
To give you a little more background on these two love birds, they met in Arkansas where they were attending college together, and they now live in Dallas, where Kayla’s family lives. They love to create bucket lists together and go to as many neat places as possible – they love parks, B&B’s, and anything that represents a specific city, or what the city is known for, such as food, drinks, or neat sights. While they’re here in Dallas, before Chase finishes school in Arkansas to become a doctor (specializing in many areas), they created a bucket list together. One of the places that was on their bucket list to visit was to walk through Klyde Warren park, which is why Chase popped the question under the pretty arches there.
