Benjamin & Rachel’s Elopement at Viewline, Aspen

Benjamin and Rachel chose to elope in a way that felt honest and intentional. Their elopement at Viewline, Aspen was intimate, colorful, and surrounded by sweeping mountain views. The setting felt calm and elevated, which made the day feel grounded and meaningful.

How They Met

They met in May of 2016 at an airbnb during Rachel’s brother’s graduation party. From the beginning, it was clear there was a strong connection. They hit it off immediately and made quite the impression on everyone around them.

At the time, Rachel lived in New York. Distance didn’t slow their relationship. Instead, they spent months talking on the phone and getting to know each other deeply. Six months later, Rachel moved to Colorado, and their lives continued to grow together from there.

The Proposal

Benjamin proposed in November 2023 on the slopes of Big Sky. He planned the moment carefully and surprised Rachel with a heartfelt speech and a beautiful ring. The proposal was emotional and completely unexpected.

Benjamin also made a meaningful decision to take Rachel’s last name after the wedding. Soon, he will officially be Ben Mountain.

Eloping at Viewline

For their elopement, Benjamin and Rachel wanted a location that felt peaceful and surrounded by nature. Viewline offered exactly that. The venue sits high above Aspen and provides panoramic mountain views in every direction. The atmosphere felt quiet, open, and perfectly suited for an intimate ceremony.

My friend, Goldie, created mountain-inspired florals that blended beautifully with the surroundings. The colors were rich and vibrant, adding warmth and texture to the setting.

After the ceremony, we explored the area around Viewline for portraits. The mountains created a dramatic backdrop from every angle. The open scenery allowed Benjamin and Rachel to move naturally and stay present with each other.

Their connection felt steady and deeply rooted, shaped by years of shared life and intentional choices.

A Meaningful Beginning

This elopement was simple in the best way. The focus stayed on their commitment and the life they are building together.

Benjamin and Rachel, thank you for trusting me to capture such a meaningful chapter of your story. Your elopement at Viewline in Aspen was thoughtful, beautiful, and full of heart.
