Gold Mountain Ouray Wedding | Alexandra & Rudi’s Mountain Celebration
What a day! The beautiful mountains of Ouray just saw Alexandra Quick and Rudi Mattheis-Brown say “I do” at the amazing Gold Mountain Ouray. Their journey led them to this special spot, and what a start to their new adventure as husband and wife!
From Denver Basketball to Mountain “I Dos”
Every great love story has a beginning, and Alexandra and Rudi’s is pretty sweet. It all kicked off on April 18, 2019. They had their first date at Sloan’s Tap and Burger in Denver, watching the NCAA men’s basketball final. They met on Bumble – talk about a perfect match! Who knew a basketball game could lead to forever?
A Surprise Proposal in Vail (Leading to Ouray!)
Their road to Gold Mountain took a lovely turn on October 4, 2024. Rudi had a big surprise ready in pretty Vail. Alexandra’s mom was out of town, so they were enjoying a relaxed week. Rudi’s first idea was a hike, but Alexandra wasn’t feeling great after a work trip. No problem for Rudi!
He quickly changed plans and took Alexandra to a nice back deck for a drink before dinner. They were surrounded by gorgeous, colorful Aspen leaves. Alexandra says she “blacked out” from excitement, but she clearly remembers Rudi getting down on one knee and saying something super sweet! Her answer, of course, was a big “yes!”
The surprises kept coming! After a lovely dinner, Rudi whisked Alexandra away for a fun weekend trip. They visited the awesome Black Canyon of the Gunnison, stayed in a cozy Airbnb in Carbondale, and hiked to the famous Crystal Mill in Marble. Each thoughtful moment brought them closer to their Ouray wedding.
Their Big Day at Gold Mountain, Ouray
The wedding day finally arrived, and Alexandra and Rudi became husband and wife at Gold Mountain, Ouray. This stunning place, right in the San Juan Mountains, was the perfect setting for their vows and party. Everyone there felt the huge joy and love between this amazing couple. Every part of the day, from their promises to each other to the happy reception, showed just how special their connection is.
Their story, full of sweet gestures, shared fun, and a clear bond, is truly inspiring. We’re so happy to celebrate Alexandra and Rudi’s start as a married couple and cherish all the memories from their fantastic wedding day!
