Jacob & Jane’s Horseback Proposal at Snowmass Creek Outfitters

How They Met

Their story began on the central coast of California at a birthday celebration. Toward the end of the evening, everyone started swing dancing. Jacob didn’t know how, but he asked Jane anyway. That night sparked something special. Determined to follow through, he went home, practiced with his mom and sister, and when the chance came again, he and Jane danced the night away. That was the start of everything.

From the very beginning, Jacob knew Jane was someone he didn’t want to let go. He describes her as kind-hearted, supportive, and able to connect with anyone she meets — not just the love of his life, but his best friend.

The Proposal

On a quiet afternoon, Jacob and Jane set out on horseback for the final ride of the day. The trail carried them through wide meadows, aspen groves, and stretches of open sky, each turn bringing more of the Colorado beauty that makes Snowmass so special.

When they reached a secluded clearing, Jacob stopped, dismounted, and took Jane’s hand. With the horses grazing nearby and the mountains surrounding them, he knelt down and asked her to marry him.

Jane said yes, and the two shared a moment that felt both simple and extraordinary — a perfect reflection of their story together.

For the ring, Jacob worked with Jane’s best friend and a jeweler in Carmel, California. He wanted something timeless that carried both Jane’s style and his own input. The result was a piece as thoughtful and meaningful as the proposal itself.
