Nancy & Mike’s Vow Renewal/Elopement | Bella Donna Chapel | Adriatica Village

As a wedding photographer based in both Dallas/DFW and Aspen, Colorado, I’ve had the privilege of capturing a variety of weddings from smaller elopements and vow renewals to those of a bit larger scale. Intimate weddings such as elopements and vow renewal ceremonies are some of my favorites! Every person in attendance has a deeply personal connection and holds such a special place within the couple’s heart. The love is absolutely palpable! Nancy and Mike’s vow renewal at the Bella Donna Chapel in Adriatica Village was certainly no exception. Take a look at their journey, it’s one to remember!

The first date…

Their love story began with their first date in 2014, and got off to a bit of a rocky start. The groom’s late arrival and disheveled demeanor had the bride wondering if the date was over before it had even started! Once settled, they learned they had a lot more in common than either of them could have anticipated. As they sat talking into the wee hours of the morning, Nancy and Mike quickly realized that this date would in fact be the most important date of their lives. 

The proposal…

Many more dates and a sweet daughter later, Mike finally popped the question. He had always joked that he would propose to Nancy with a toy ring, so including their daughter Sage in the proposal was a must! Sage did a wonderful job of helping Mike follow through on his promise. She ran over to her mother holding a toy box, Nancy looked down at the small box and by the time she realized what she was holding Mike was on his knees! 

The big day…

Fast forward years later to their amazing vow renewal. It’s clear that their love has stood the test of time! Surrounded by close family and friends as well as the beauty of Adriatica Village and Bella Donna Chapel, Nancy said yes (again).
