Proposal at Lakeside Park: Ryan & Margaret’s Sweet Surprise!

So, these two have a seriously cute story! Ryan and Margaret’s journey to “I do” started way back in college, at the University of Alabama. Ryan’s roommate’s girlfriend set them up for a date party. Ryan was a sophomore, and Margaret was a freshman. He was nervous because he thought she was way out of his league (his words, not mine!). Turns out, they hit it off big time, went to more date parties together, and a couple of months later, they were officially dating. Funny enough, they’re both from Texas (she’s from Fort Worth, he’s from Dallas), but they had to go all the way to Alabama to meet! Talk about fate!

Their Story

Ryan said his first impression of Margaret was that she was beautiful, funny, smart, and outgoing. He thought she probably thought he was shy. Which, he admits, he kind of was! He says Margaret is super outgoing and really brings him out of his shell. He thinks she’s hilarious (funnier than him, even!), and that her drive and intelligence motivate him. Basically, he’s totally smitten. Margaret, for her part, has been by his side through thick and thin. Ryan knew he wanted to marry her pretty early on—just a couple of months into dating. He couldn’t pinpoint one specific moment, but it was a combination of her kindness, her humor, and how much she loved him.

They actually went ring shopping together a while back. Margaret knew what she wanted, which Ryan says is something he loves about her. No surprises there!

The Proposal – Lakeside Romance!

Ryan chose Lakeside Park in Dallas for the big moment. It’s a beautiful spot, perfect for a romantic proposal. He got everything set up just right, and then… well, you’ll have to keep scrolling to see the pictures! Let’s just say, it was a special moment for them both.
