Chris and Courtney’s T-Lazy-7 Ranch wedding in Aspen, Colorado was a day filled with love, joy, and meaning. From their surprise proposal to their elegant reception at Betula, this celebration brought their story full circle in the most beautiful way.

From Proposal to Wedding

If Chris and Courtney look familiar, it’s because I’ve photographed every milestone of their journey.

Their story began with a heartfelt proposal at T-Lazy-7 Ranch. Chris planned a floral arch and the words “Will you marry me?” set against Pyramid Peak. When he dropped to one knee, Courtney said yes without hesitation. (You can read more about their proposal here.)

A few months later, we met again for their engagement session in Downtown Aspen. From the Silver Queen Gondola to Hotel Jerome and the Aspen Mountain Trail, their portraits showed the perfect mix of elegance and adventure. (See their engagement session here.)

Returning to T-Lazy-7 Ranch for their wedding felt like the perfect continuation of their story — the place where everything began.

The Wedding Day at T-Lazy-7 Ranch

Soft afternoon light covered the meadows of T-Lazy-7 Ranch as Chris and Courtney got ready for their ceremony. The ranch, surrounded by tall pines and framed by Pyramid Peak, was calm and beautiful — the ideal setting for their vows.

Their first look at The Gant was full of excitement and emotion. By the time they arrived at the ranch, Aspen’s golden light created the perfect mood for their ceremony.

The setup was elegant and simple, allowing the mountains to take center stage. With family and friends gathered, Chris and Courtney exchanged vows surrounded by laughter, love, and the fresh mountain air.

Courtney looked radiant walking down the aisle. Chris’s reaction said it all — joy, gratitude, and pure love for his best friend.

Celebrating at Betula

Following the ceremony, guests made their way into town for an evening reception at Betula Aspen, one of the city’s most elegant and stylish restaurants.

The transition from ranch to town felt seamless — a perfect blend of Aspen’s rustic charm and refined sophistication. Betula’s warm atmosphere, with its inviting lounge and views over the downtown streets, set the stage for an intimate and lively celebration.

As dinner was served, laughter and heartfelt toasts filled the room. Every detail, from the décor to the mood lighting, reflected Chris and Courtney’s effortless style. Later, we slipped outside for sunset portraits near Hotel Jerome and along the walking mall. The soft evening glow added a cinematic touch to an already perfect day.

A Love Story Rooted in Aspen

From their surprise proposal to their engagement session, and now their wedding at T-Lazy-7 Ranch with a reception at Betula, every chapter of Chris and Courtney’s story has been wrapped in Aspen’s beauty.
