Trials are Important

Why is it important to do a trial run for hair, makeup, and bouquet for your bridal session?

Hair and Makeup

Do this a few months before your wedding to have enough time. Continue typical skin and hair routine so it won’t interfere when it is the day of your wedding.

Knowing Beforehand

Wether or not you’re planning to have bridals or engagements taken, a trial for hair and makeup is always important. The day of the wedding can get hectic and you may have limited time to get ready if things run behind. A trial run can help you be prepared by already knowing the look you want and time it will take. Trial runs might seem to be expensive but it will help you save money and time in the long run.

Finalizing Your Look

For your hair, bring the accessories that you will wear for your wedding day in the trial run. This will help you visualize which style accommodates your headpieces. Have an idea of what you want and have examples to show your hair and makeup artist and they will give you the best advice on what to do for the big day.

Long Lasting

You will also get an idea of how long the hairstyle or makeup can last. If the curls fall at the end of the day, or your bangs keep getting in your eyes, your hair stylist can opt for a stronger hairspray or more bobbiepins. You can also take into account how long the lipstick lasts before it needs to be reapplied. So you’ll be prepared on the day of if you need more or not.

A trial run is the perfect time to get to the know the professional’s personality and skills. You want to be comfortable with the professional artist that will help you achieve your desired look so you won’t be stressed on the big day. They may suggest ideas but you can also give some input on the look you are going for.

Bouquet

Perfect Match

A trial run can help you know what bouquet matches with the style of your dress and the look you envision for the day. You want the bouquet to be an accessory but not take away the attention from the dress. You’ll also see what colors the flowers will be and if you want more or less of a particular flower or ivy.

Have you thought about how long you will be holding your bouquet? The trial run will help you know if the bouquet is heavy and if it needs to be adjusted. It can let you decide if the bouquet needs to be smaller or larger depending on where you want the focus to be or if your arms get tired within an hour.
