Brian and Chloe’s Proposal at Maroon Bells, Colorado

I’m so excited to share Brian and Chloe’s amazing story with you, leading up to their Maroon Bells proposal. Their journey began in a pretty modern way!

Brian and Chloe first connected on a dating app, and they just clicked right away. Their early chats were full of fun back-and-forth, getting to know each other, and exciting talks about all the adventures they could go on together. That very same day, they met for cocktails at Hudson Hill in downtown Denver. Brian shared that Chloe’s profile photos didn’t really show how amazing she looked, so when she walked in, he was honestly surprised and got a little nervous, standing up a bit too fast! He says she was, and still is, just gorgeous. Get this – just two weeks later, Brian asked Chloe to be his girlfriend. He shared that they both just knew; sometimes, you can just tell when it’s the real deal.

For Brian, there wasn’t one exact moment when he knew Chloe was “the one.” Instead, he explained that after their first few months together, a feeling just settled in. It was a warm, thankful, and confident feeling that she was definitely the person he wanted to marry. When it came to picking out the proposal ring, Brian made sure to get Chloe involved. He simply asked her to describe her dream ring, making sure he chose exactly what she wished for. Smart move, Brian!

He also shared what makes Chloe so special: she’s a professional violinist, which is super cool, but she’s also really humble about it. Beyond her talent, Brian described her as gorgeous, super smart, and someone with a truly kind and caring heart. He genuinely feels she’s a rare combination, just a really special person.

With all that amazing history, you can imagine how special their Maroon Bells proposal day was! I was right there to capture every moment of their surprise proposal at Maroon Bells in Aspen, Colorado. Those amazing mountains and the changing weather made for a truly unforgettable day as Brian popped the question to Chloe!

A Sweet Proposal in the Rain

The day of the proposal started with a light, soft rain. You know, the kind that just makes everything feel extra romantic and personal? That’s exactly how Brian’s proposal went down. Even with the rain falling gently, everything was perfect. Brian got right down on one knee, holding an umbrella over them, and asked Chloe to be his wife. Watching Chloe’s face go from surprised to just pure joy with a happy “yes!” was incredible. The gentle sound of raindrops on the umbrella made the moment feel even more cozy and special. The rain honestly didn’t take away from their Maroon Bells proposal at all; if anything, it made it even more unique and memorable for them.

Right after Chloe said “yes!” and they shared a big hug, I started taking photos right after their surprise proposal. And wouldn’t you know it, as I was shooting, the sky actually started to clear! The weather change was so cool to see. One minute it was misty and rainy, and the next, the clouds began to part, showing off patches of bright blue sky. 

By the end of our photo shoot, the sun was shining totally bright! It lit up the famous Maroon Bells, making those mountain peaks look absolutely grand and beautiful. The way the light hit the mountainsides was just stunning. It was such a nice change after the rainy proposal, giving their pictures a completely different look. I told Brian and Chloe they had to stay and just soak in those amazing views that had appeared, and they were super happy to spend more time enjoying the perfect weather and the beauty all around them.

A Weekend Full of Surprises

Brian did such a great job keeping the proposal a secret from Chloe! He just told her they were going to dinner in Aspen that night. It was actually at a nice restaurant I had suggested, which made me happy to know my recommendation was helpful! But the surprises didn’t stop with just the proposal and a lovely dinner. Brian had a whole day of even more surprises planned for Chloe the next day. They were staying in comfy condos in Snowmass, really soaking up their time in the beautiful mountains. After their special dinner celebrating the surprise proposal, they were heading back into Aspen for more fun and continued celebrations. This whole weekend was carefully put together by Brian to be truly unforgettable for Chloe, starting with their amazing Maroon Bells proposal and then just adding more thoughtful moments.
