Melissa’s Portrait Session at East of Aspen Trail
Photographing Melissa’s portrait session at East of Aspen Trail was such a joy. This quiet, scenic trail just outside of Aspen provided the perfect backdrop for her mini session, especially in the soft evening light.
East of Aspen Trail
The East of Aspen Trail is one of my favorite places for portraits in Aspen. It winds through open meadows, aspen groves, and stretches alongside the river, all with stunning mountain views in the distance. In the evening, the golden light spills across the fields and trees, creating a warm and natural glow that makes every photo feel timeless.
It’s peaceful, uncrowded, and filled with variety — the perfect spot for an outdoor portrait session.
The Portrait Session
Melissa wanted a simple yet beautiful setting for her portraits, and East of Aspen Trail gave us exactly that. As we walked along the path, the scenery shifted from tall grasses to tree-lined stretches, giving her session a mix of textures and tones.
She looked radiant in the soft golden light, and the natural setting highlighted her elegance without needing anything extra. The quietness of the trail allowed her to relax and be present, which came through in every frame.
A Timeless Location
This portrait session was the perfect example of how Aspen’s landscapes can elevate even the simplest of shoots. With its open skies, glowing light, and mountain views, East of Aspen Trail gave Melissa’s portraits a sense of calm and beauty that feels both effortless and timeless.
Melissa, thank you for trusting me to capture this moment for you. Your portraits are a reflection of not just a place, but also the confidence and beauty you brought to the session.
