Wow! This styled shoot was absolutely amazing! The theme was perfect, especially with the new Beauty and the Beast movie that just came out! The decorations and subjects were amazing!
When two Dallas wedding industry vendors, Denise Knitch and Elizabeth Fisher, received a phone call from Slomique Hawrylo, a Los Angeles celebrity event planner, asking them to do a tablescape set for a TV morning news show, they decided to take it to the next level and add a “A Beastly Kind Of Love” wedding photo shoot.
The TV segment and photo shoot were timed to coincide with this week’s opening of Disney’s new adult movie “Beauty and The Beast.”
Slomique, who is a regular on David Tutera’s CELEBrations show, agreed to spend another day in Dallas helping direct and also model as “Belle” for the “Beastly Kind Of Love” styled shoot.
The White Sparrow Barn, voted a top ten wedding venue, was the setting of this nontraditional and decidedly edgy photo shoot. The custom yellow gown worn by Slomique is by Nardos Design and how perfect is the model playing the Beast? Will Roth, the Beast model, is actually a member of the Fort Worth folk-rock band Moonlight Native. Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe created the floral, ivy, and bouquet designs and the calligraphy menu was from Scribbles and Swirls. Note the book titles on that custom cake designed by The London Baker and all that vintage brass by Dixie Does Vintage! Industry wedding photography pros Maggie Mahan from MaggShots Photography and Melissa Spurrier from Melissa Claire Photography worked as a team and managed to capture every beautiful beastly moment of the photo shoot. Dallas-based event planners Julie Blakey and Sarah Robison from Refined Romance Events co-collaborated with LA-based Slomique Hawrylo of Carpe Diem Special Events & Design to design and direct the Beastly Kind Of Love photoshoot.
