Bride & Groom Tips | Stress Free Getting Ready Morning

Getting ready mornings don’t have to be stressful! Here are some helpful tips on how to enjoy your wedding day morning without the stress!

Sleep – go to bed early the night before your wedding! You will get a good night’s rest and wake up refreshed and ready to take on the exciting day!

Timeline – make a getting ready morning timeline and checklist! This will help you stay on track and not forget anything! Plus, it is always so satisfying checking things off a list!

Have a clean getting ready room – Whenever your photographer arrives, they will ask for bags to be moved to be out of the pictures for getting ready/putting dress on pictures. Go ahead and have your bridesmaids keep the room fairly clean beforehand so you don’t have to stop mid blush application to move or get anything out of the way!

Pack for the honeymoon & day of essentials – pack for the honeymoon the week (or at least a few days) before the big day & pack other essentials the day before your wedding! You will save yourself stress and time for the day of the wedding where you can focus on other things like your heart rate! 😉

Prepare your details the day before – When your photographer arrives, they will ask for all of your details to photograph! Have your shoes, jewelry, invitations/save the date, perfume, your “something blue” and anything else you may be wearing or want photographed ready to go in a box that’s easy to have ready on the day of your big day.

Background music – have a playlist ready for your getting ready morning so you can jam to some tunes while sipping on your champagne feeling like a queen! This is something you can delegate to a bridesmaid as well!

Give yourself time – make sure you are scheduling in enough time for you to get into your dress and put on the final touches before walking down the aisle! You will also probably be taking pictures with your bridesmaids and immediate family beforehand, so be sure to talk with your planner/photographer about this! You don’t want to be rushed because then you won’t be relaxed!

Hair & Makeup – never leave yourself to be the last one of your group to get your hair and makeup done. You should go first so you can get done and relax!

Don’t forget to eat! – a lot of the time the bride is so busy getting ready or just having a good time with her girls that she forgets to eat. Always have some snacks ready for you to eat so you will have energy to make it through till dinner!

Take pictures and have fun – the wedding morning is such an exciting time so make sure to enjoy each and every special minute of it! Take pictures with your cell phones & instant cameras, toast to your girls, and enjoy your morning! Having first looks with parents or bridesmaids is also a fun thing to add in!

Leave on time – always leave yourself some time for emergencies like a forgotten bouquet, traffic, or a bad GPS! If you do forget something, have someone else go back and get it! You need to relax and enjoy your big day!

We hope this blog gave you some great tips that will help you not feel so rushed and stressed on your wedding day morning! Remember, this day is all about you and your S/O love for each other. Enjoy it and breathe it in!
