Ethan and Andrea’s Proposal | Top of Aspen Mountain, Colorado

In the picturesque town of Aspen, Colorado, Ethan and Andrea’s love story unfolded against the stunning backdrop of the majestic Aspen Mountain. As an Aspen photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing their intimate engagement portraits in various breathtaking locations.

Specifically, we took photos from the top of the mountain to The Little Nell Wedding Deck, inside the gondola, and at the vibrant base of the gondola in downtown Aspen. Therefore, join us in reliving the joyous moments of this sweet couple’s journey toward the beginning of their forever.

A Love Story Begins

Meet Ethan and Andrea! Their love story is a perfect blend of adventure and romance. Moreover, they are proud pet parents to Gigi, their adorable poodle.

Ethan and Andrea met a little over two years ago on the League app. Both are dedicated to the medical field, and surprisingly, they discovered they worked on the same floor of the same hospital! Additionally, their shared love for travel has taken them to breathtaking destinations, from the snowy slopes of Colorado to the romantic places of St. Lucia and Italy.

Their first date, a lively Cinco de Mayo celebration, was filled with laughter, margaritas, and a spark that ignited a beautiful love story.

The Big Moment at Aspen Mountain

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Aspen, Colorado, Ethan and Andrea ascended to the top of Ajax Mountain for a day of Bluegrass concert and breathtaking views. While they enjoyed the concert, Ethan had a surprise planned.

Instead of proposing at the crowded sundeck, he led Andrea to a more private spot on the wedding deck. The Little Nell Wedding Deck provided a romantic and exclusive setting, perfectly reflecting Samantha and Dan’s personalities. At the base of the gondola, we captured their joyous spirits immersed in the bustling charm of downtown Aspen.

With their moms watching from a distance, Ethan dropped to one knee, his voice filled with emotion as he asked Andrea to marry him. Overwhelmed with joy, she said “yes!” creating a moment of pure magic.

After the proposal, the couple shared a quiet moment together before joining their mothers for a celebration. Ethan and Andrea’s moms were already there, watching the proposal with tears of joy. They joined the couple for photos to commemorate this special occasion.

Ethan originally wanted to propose at the Maroon Bells, but we decided to do a post-proposal session there the following day. This allowed Andrea to be dressed and ready for photos and also gave them the opportunity to enjoy a hike to Crater Lake afterward.
