Capturing Precious Moments

Recently, I had the pleasure of creating Herricks Family portraits in East of Aspen Trail, Colorado. This beautiful session followed their exciting gender reveal party (click here to read more if you missed out!), capturing a special time for this growing family. The East of Aspen Trail, just outside downtown Aspen near Independence Pass, provided a stunning backdrop for these family portraits.

This location, perfect for the Herricks Family portraits in East of Aspen Trail, Colorado, is one of Aspen’s most gradual and scenic trails. It parallels the Roaring Fork River southeast of Aspen for over three miles and features an interpretive wildlife-viewing stand at the North Star Nature Preserve. It’s also my favorite place to paddleboard down the river!

A Growing Family of Four

The Herricks family, now expecting their third child, wanted to document this precious moment with a beautiful family portrait. Their two daughters joined them for a memorable afternoon in the mountains. 

As we were near the East of Aspen Trail, I captured the Herricks family’s love, laughter, and connection. The children’s playful energy and the parents’ loving gaze created heartwarming and timeless images. Its breathtaking scenery served as the perfect backdrop for their family portraits. The majestic mountains, lush greenery, and crisp mountain air added a touch of magic to the photos.

The Herricks family portrait session was a beautiful celebration of their love and growing family. As they shared, “We love spending time with our small family unit. Our happy place is here in Aspen.” I’m honored to have captured these precious moments for them to cherish for years to come.
