Uplighting is such an awesome add on for your wedding! Uplighting is those different colored lights you see in the picture below that make the background stand out. They can be any color you want and can match your wedding perfectly! It adds a little more light for your decorations to be seen, and just makes the venue look so much better with that pop of color! Now, don’t get uplighting confused with spotlighting. Spotlighting is when there is a specific light that shines directly onto someone or something, like a centerpiece. Uplighting lights up the whole perimeter of the room! It illuminates the room and gives it that extra touch.

All of the pictures you see will be side by side. The ones on the left are with uplighting and the ones of the right are without. We hope that these images will give you the visual we are trying to give you so you can see why uplighting is SO awesome!

Wedding Colors – The uplighting can be your wedding colors which just adds even more fun and personalization!

You will be BFF’S with Photographers and Videographers – Photographers and Videographers will thank you even more if you get uplighting! Uplighting adds SO much DEPTH to your reception/dancing pictures. You will LOVE your reception images way more than if you didn’t have uplighting.  It adds a different color to the images too, which always draws your eyes in!

Great for Portraits – Romantics (bride & groom portraits) are always beautiful, but there is something about having uplighting in your pictures that just gives it that extra flare of fun and beauty for a few fun shots away from the party. These two images below both have uplighting and are gorgeous additions to a wedding gallery!

Architecture Enhancement – With uplighting, it will really enhance your venues architectural features! It will make it look even more beautiful!

In the end, adding uplighting really makes or breaks your reception pictures. Especially when your reception is in the evening, at dark. It definitely adds a little more to your decorating and is always fun! Now, there’s anything wrong without uplighting, you may not see much of a difference if your reception is outside or if you have a lot of string lights. In the end it’s your decision, uplighting just stands out in pictures and makes your reception look AND feel like a party!
