Meet Katrina & Eric! This morning Downtown Dallas engagement session took place at the Winspear Opera House. The weather could not have been better for an August in Texas. They were naturals during their engagements and I loved getting to photograph them & their love for each other! I loved the way Eric made Katrina laugh through the entire session! It was the sweetest thing!

Originally, they met at the crosswalk in front of HPUMC & talked every Sunday before & after church for several months, then she gave him her number! That’s where it all began. These two have been together for a couple years now and got engaged at Fossil Rim a few months back! They did the special tour where you get to stay over night, and feed the giraffe early the next morning before everyone else, and he proposed on that second day they were there! I was in awe of her ring – it’s so unique & I’ve never seen one like it. The main diamond can actually be spun around, so the oval is either horizontal or vertical, which I thought was super neat – also a little mesmerizing. Haha!

Katrina & Eric love to adventure together & have recently been going to the National Parks, checking those off, one by one! They also love to try new things & BBQ restaurants is one of them! They went to all of Texas Monthly’s “Texas Top 50” BBQ restaurants last summer. A couple of their favorites were Franklin BBQ in Austin & Tyler’s BBQ in Amarillo (where they met and ate with the man who goes there every day for lunch AND dinner). What a fun thing to do together – I’m sure this was a great adventure as well. Their next adventure will be honeymoon & their plans are to visit the beautiful city of Charleston (one of my favorite places!), then a bigger trip next summer since she’s off for the summer!
