Sal & Monica’s Proposal | Paepcke Park, Aspen

I recently had the privilege of photographing Sal and Monica’s surprise proposal at Paepcke Park in Aspen. We started the day with a dreamy proposal near the gazebo and ended the day with a surprise at Hotel Jerome. Take a look at this sweet couple’s proposal and some of the day’s highlights!

The Proposal

Paepcke Park was the perfect setting for this couple as Monica has always dreamed of getting engaged in Aspen! While Monica’s family has had a place here for years, this was Sal’s first time in Aspen. He wanted to ensure that his proposal went as smoothly as possible, so he enlisted the help of Monica’s best friend, Annie. Sal and Annie worked together to plan out some of the details surrounding the big moment!

Monica was first greeted with long-stemmed roses near a charming gazebo. Shortly after realizing the roses were for her, Sal got down on one knee and proposed. Monica, truly touched and surprised, quickly said “Yes!” while I was able to capture the heartwarming moment discreetly. Right after the big question, I had the opportunity to introduce myself to Monica. We then took some time to snap some more photos to commemorate this special occasion. 

Our next stop was the historic Hotel Jerome, where we quickly captured more sweet moments against the stunning backdrop of the hotel’s architecture. Finally, we were able to go inside where another heartwarming surprise awaited. Upon entering the hotel Sal and Monica were greeted by friends and family with cheers and love.

Sal orchestrated the proposal flawlessly, creating a memory to cherish for a lifetime. Monica’s dream of an Aspen proposal came true! It was a day filled with love, joy, and the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
